The Universal Audio Orion Tape Echo is a compact digital emulation of the Maestro EP-III tape echo. It offers three tape machine states (Mint, Worn, Old) that change the character and texture of the repeats. A Wonk control adds modulated, spliced-tape artifacts, and a switchable analog preamp can be engaged on the dry signal for extra grit. The pedal runs mono with selectable true or trails bypass and analog dry-through. Delay time ranges from 80-700 ms, with controls for level, record level (saturation), feedback, and tape irregularities. A USB-C port allows firmware updates and app-based customization of footswitch behavior and oscillation settings.Specifications
