The Audio-Technica AT2020 is a side-address condenser microphone with a fixed-charge back plate and cardioid polar pattern. It uses a 16 mm low-mass diaphragm to capture vocals, acoustic instruments, and spoken word with a balanced response across 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
