The ProCo RAT 2 is a straightforward distortion pedal built around an op-amp clipping circuit. The Distortion knob sets gain level, the Filter control rolls off highs for darker tones or opens up for brighter response, and Volume sets overall output. It handles everything from light grit to heavy saturation depending on how the controls are set. This version uses the 1981 circuit revision and runs on standard 9V power.
