The EarthQuaker Devices Zoar is a discrete transistor distortion with a passive three-band EQ and Weight control that shapes low-end response. It runs on 9-18V DC and uses Flexi-Switch relay-based true bypass, allowing both latching and momentary operation. Higher voltage increases headroom, tightens lows, and raises output level while keeping the interactive EQ responsive to playing dynamics. Level sets overall output, Gain controls distortion amount, and Weight adjusts how much low end passes through the circuit. Bass, Middle, and Treble knobs interact to fine-tune tone from light breakup to saturated grind. Specifications
