The Strymon Volante is a magnetic echo machine with four playback heads, each with independent level, feedback, and panning controls. It emulates drum, tape, and studio reel-to-reel echoes, with dedicated knobs for time, speed (half/normal/double), spacing (even/triplet/golden/silver), wear, mechanics, low cut, and repeats. Built-in spring reverb adds depth, and sound-on-sound mode offers looping with reverse, pause, splice, and infinite hold functions. Tap footswitch sets delay time, ON engages/bypasses or holds infinite repeats, and Favorite recalls presets.Stereo I/O with INST/LINE switch for instrument or line level signals. Expression pedal input, full MIDI implementation including CC control of heads and parameters, USB for MIDI. Three footswitches handle tap tempo, bypass (true or buffered), and more.
