The Studio Projects VTB1 is a compact half-rack tube mic preamp with a solid-state front end feeding into a blendable tube stage. It handles mics, line, and instrument signals via front-panel Hi-Z TRS input, with switchable 48V phantom, phase reverse, and a 75Hz high-pass filter at -18dB/oct. The key feature is the tube blend knob, letting you mix clean solid-state signal with tube warmth from the 12AX7 without changing levels. TRS insert sits between the SS pre and tube/output for parallel processingGÇöone clean send from insert return, tube-colored main outs.Meter switches between input and output with five LEDs. Mic input has rear switch for 300 ohm or 2000 ohm impedance to match mics better. Solid gain staging: up to 72dB mic to balanced out, 42dB line. Runs off external 12V AC wall wart. Great as a character pre or DI for bass/guitar, adds harmonics without mud.Outputs simultaneous balanced XLR and TRS line.
