The octave tracks best above the 12th fret on the neck pickup and adds a swelling upper octave that can go from subtle overtones to full-on squall.  The Hoof side has Level, Fuzz, Tone, and Shift controls. The Tone Reaper side has Level, Fuzz, and Tone. The Octave side has its own Level control.
